Web 2.0 are things that I as a students use everyday. It includes all of those free google products such as documents, sheets, and presentation. I use these product almost everyday without even knowing that they were web 2.0 tools. Most of the Web 2.0 tools are free and require no download. These are great tools to use because of the ease of use and also the price.........FREE!
TinyURL is a great way to remember certain web pages that you wouldn't remember if there was a huge URL to type in. What this tool does is take a long URL and create it into a smaller URL which is easier to remember. In a classroom setting it would be great for a students who are creating websites to lessen the length of their URLs for the class to remember for further reference.
Voice Thread is a very interesting tool for myself. I love the idea of placing photos and being able to discuss them while showing my presentation to a group of people. With this tool you can pretty much not even be there for a presentation and just have the presentation run which is nice. I also like this tool in that if I am speaking at a coaching clinic and there is a photo on the board I can read off of a script and record what the drill is about or what is happening.
Time permitting ... can you make the links active (to tinyurl and voice thread)?
ReplyDeleteI like your quote of using Web2 tools every day and not knowing such. And the doors are just beginning to open. So much innovation out there.
